Actually... we kind of did. Think Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men.
We created catchy songs. Produced audio brands. Made jingles that people couldn't get out of their heads. Then something unexpected happened. Our clients started asking:
"Can you create the commercial too?"
So we did. Then another client asked. Then another. And before we knew it, we discovered something: we didn't just love creating sound. We loved creating stories. We loved the cameras. We loved the creative process. We loved seeing an idea come alive visually.
So we made a decision. We doubled down. Then tripled down. Today, PlanIt Studios focuses exclusively on cinematic commercial video production and premium plug & play video podcasts. No distractions. Just powerful storytelling through video.
Don't worry... the "PlanIt" part was always the catchy part. The "Sound" part just couldn't keep up anymore. It was like naming a restaurant "The Oven" when you also serve amazing food. The oven matters — but it's not the whole experience.
PlanIt started with sound. Sound led us to video. Video became our passion. Now PlanIt Studios represents what we've become: a creative, world-class studio built around storytelling, visuals and meaningful connections.
Long before cameras... there was a convenience store. My parents owned a Red Rooster. By the age of eight, I was working behind the cash register, standing on milk crates so customers could actually see me.
That little store became my first business school. I learned customer service. I learned kindness. I learned how to make people feel welcome. I learned that relationships matter.
My payment? Unlimited chocolate bars and slushies. It was a different era — nobody was counting sugar. But that's when I began counting blessings.
My passion for music and video started long before it became a career. I would "borrow" my pop's Sony camcorder and create homemade music videos. My best friend and I would reenact old gangster movies. We weren't making anything professional. We were just having fun.
But looking back... that was the beginning. The storytelling. The creativity. The obsession with creating moments people remember.
That same kid who stood on milk crates behind a Red Rooster counter is now lucky enough to lead a company helping brands tell their stories. The tools have changed. The cameras have changed. The technology has changed.
But the mission hasn't: create meaningful work, build real relationships, make videos people remember.
